Major General Vo Tien Nghi was introduced as a candidate for the 16th National Assembly

On January 16, the Border Guard Command held a conference to collect voters' opinions at the workplace on those who are expected to nominate candidates for the 16th National Assembly.

At the conference, voters under the Border Guard Command were thoroughly informed about the process and procedures for introducing personnel to run for National Assembly deputies; the standards for 16th National Assembly deputies; and listened to the introduction of the list of personnel recommended for candidates, Major General Vo Tien Nghi, Deputy Commander of the Border Guard.

Based on the comments and assessments at the conference, voters unanimously determined that Major General Vo Tien Nghi is a personnel who meets all the prescribed standards for National Assembly deputies.

Voters appreciated that Major General Vo Tien Nghi has a steadfast ideological stance, strong political will; is absolutely loyal to the Party, Fatherland, people and the Constitution of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; always strives for the goal of a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness and civilization.

Major General Vo Tien Nghi has good moral qualities, a clean and healthy lifestyle; is diligent, thrifty, honest, upright, just, meritorious, and selfless; has methods and scientific and creative working style; is close and attached to officers and soldiers.

Major General Vo Tien Nghi is always exemplary in strictly following the principles of party organization and activities; fully implementing regulations and rules on what party members are not allowed to do; strictly complying with the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, the Army's discipline; resolutely fighting against corruption, waste, bureaucracy, epidemics, powerlessness and acts that violate the law.

Major General Vo Tien Nghi is a cadre who received basic training through many schools and classes in the Army; has held many positions in units in the Border Guard; has been attached to the border and the people in the border area for a long time...

Speaking at the conference, Major General Vo Tien Nghi expressed his gratitude for the trust of competent authorities, the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, the Head of the Border Guard Command, the support of comrades, colleagues and all voters; and affirmed that he will continue to strive, strive continuously, enhance the sense of responsibility, and successfully complete all assigned tasks.

Major General Vo Tien Nghi affirmed that if elected as a National Assembly delegate by voters, he will seriously fulfill his responsibilities as a delegate; regularly maintain close contact with the people and voters; proactively listen to, absorb, and honestly reflect voters' legitimate opinions and recommendations to the National Assembly and competent authorities.

Major General Vo Tien Nghi expressed his hope to continue to receive the attention and support of voters to have the conditions to contribute more to the implementation of the duties of military delegates and Border Guard delegates in the coming term.

At the conference, 100% of voters unanimously introduced Major General Vo Tien Nghi to run for the 16th National Assembly.
