Comrade Tran Tri Quang: The delegation of Vinh Long province is honored to attend the 14th National Congress of the Party - a particularly important political event, marking a new turning point in the country's development. The Congress summarized and evaluated the implementation of the 13th National Congress Resolution over the past 5 years, and at the same time determined the development orientation and goals for the next 5 years, towards two major milestones: the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

Attending the Congress, the delegations of Vinh Long province, as well as delegations nationwide, seriously implemented the Congress's Working Regulations, promoted a high sense of responsibility, and focused on intellectually contributing opinions to documents submitted to the Congress. During the discussion, delegates of the province participated in many enthusiastic opinions, stemming from the practical basis and specific conditions of the locality, contributing to fully reflecting the voice from practice, contributing to the completion of political reports and major orientations of the Congress.

Comrade Tran Tri Quang: Based on the spirit of the 14th National Party Congress, and at the same time, starting from the Resolution of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Congress for the new term, the province has determined to focus on implementing three strategic breakthroughs.

The first breakthrough is to effectively organize the implementation of the Central's resolutions and conclusions. practice shows that the effective implementation of the Central Resolutions will create a legal corridor, resources and important driving force for local development. The province pays special attention to key resolutions such as developing science and technology, developing infrastructure, education - training, health, attracting investment, especially in the field of renewable energy. This is an important foundation for the province to innovate its growth model and develop in a sustainable and modern direction.

The second breakthrough is the breakthrough in human resources. To successfully achieve the goals set out in the Resolution, the human factor plays a key role, especially the team of cadres organizing and implementing. In the past, the organization and implementation work still had certain limitations. However, with careful preparation for the new term, the province believes that human resources will be fully prepared, synchronously, ready to meet the requirements of the tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of the Resolution.

The third breakthrough is to focus on developing synchronous infrastructure. Currently, infrastructure, especially transport infrastructure, is still one of the major bottlenecks of the province. During this term, Vinh Long focuses on investing in developing connecting transport infrastructure, industrial park infrastructure, industrial cluster infrastructure, renewable energy infrastructure, while focusing on developing data infrastructure, digital transformation infrastructure. These are key factors, creating a foundation for the province to successfully implement the set development goals.

Vinh Long province has the advantage of a large marine space with a length of more than 130km, very favorable to become a marine economic center and a renewable energy production center of the Mekong Delta as well as the whole country. Can you tell us about the major orientations of the province in developing this field in the coming time?

Comrade Tran Tri Quang: On the basis of merging the development space of the three provinces of Vinh Long, Ben Tre and Tra Vinh, the new Vinh Long province has a coastline of more than 130km. This is a huge advantage for the development of the marine economy. In recent times, the exploitation of marine potential has achieved some results, but is still not commensurate with the existing potential.

In the planning to adjust the province in the coming time, Vinh Long determined to focus on effectively exploiting the marine economy, expanding marine space, and clearly defining the goal of building the province into a renewable energy center of the region. With favorable coastal conditions and geology, the province has been calling for many investment projects in the renewable energy sector.

We believe that the development of renewable energy associated with the marine economy, coastal economic zones, including Dinh An marine economic zone, will become a new breakthrough, creating an important driving force to help Vinh Long province develop rapidly and sustainably in the coming time.

Dear comrade, one of the important breakthroughs identified by the first Congress of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee is the construction of a synchronous and modern infrastructure system, smoothly connecting with localities and connecting points in the Mekong Delta. Can you tell us how the province will implement this orientation?

Comrade Tran Tri Quang: Vinh Long province has a unique terrain with many large rivers such as Tien River, Hau River, Co Chien River, Ham Luong River flowing into the East Sea. Waterway traffic has many advantages, but road traffic is still cut off, especially on major river crossings. In recent times, the Central and the province have paid attention to investing in many important transport infrastructure projects. However, in the coming time, the province needs to continue to invest to complete the infrastructure system, especially highways, national highways and coastal roads. These are key traffic axes, playing an important role in the socio-economic development of the province, enhancing regional connectivity and creating momentum for Vinh Long to develop more strongly in the coming time.
