10 outstanding activities of Vinh Long Provincial Trade Union in 2025

The Standing Committee of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor assessed and agreed to select 10 outstanding union activities in 2025, clearly reflecting the effectiveness of directing, caring for union members, and protecting workers' rights.

1. Arrange and streamline the organizational apparatus after the merger

Complete the merger of Ben Tre, Tra Vinh, and Vinh Long Trade Unions; dissolve 38 units directly above the grassroots level, improve 5 professional fields, manage more than 170,000 union members, promptly stabilize ideology and deploy tasks in 2025.

2. Project to celebrate Party Congresses at all levels

Outstanding with social housing in Giao Long Industrial Park worth 600 billion VND and Long Duc Industrial Park Sports Center worth over 60 billion VND; building and repairing 99 Trade Union Shelters, reaching 247.5% of the target.

3. Workers' Month 2025 - gratitude to workers

The launching ceremony attracted more than 1,000 union members, with dialogues, business meetings, support for accident workers; the Golden bell Playgrounds, Golden Ring and the sports festival of 5,000 athletes.

4. Promoting representation and protecting union members' rights

Trade unions at all levels strengthen supervision of labor laws, social criticism; sign 20 new collective labor agreements, reaching 110% of the target; care for over 200,000 people through Tet Sum Vay, Trade Union Tet Market, Ben Tre Caravan 2025.

5. Developing union members and participating in Party building

During the year, the Trade Union developed 30,024 union members, reaching 100.08% of the target, establishing 84 grassroots unions; introducing 933 outstanding union members to the Party, honoring 50 outstanding workers.

6. The effectiveness of patriotic emulation movements

The emulation movement achieved many achievements: 01 Certificate of Merit, 05 Certificates of Creative Labor from the General Confederation, Emulation Flag of the Provincial People's Committee; registered 548 occupational safety and hygiene projects, rewarded 08 Trade Union Chairmen and 282 outstanding workers.

7. Organizing the "Union Meal" program

Responding to the 96 years of the Vietnam Trade Union, the program was held at 3 enterprises with more than 28,000 union members; 81 grassroots unions creatively deployed, serving 70,312 employees, with a total budget of nearly 3.6 billion VND.

8. Meeting to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Trade Union

The Provincial Federation of Labor held a meeting to express gratitude to generations of leaders and more than 300 union officials from the three former provinces (Vinh Long, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh). Cultural, sports and exemplary examples are widely organized to encourage emulation movements. This is an important occasion to promote the glorious tradition and enhance the position of the Trade Union organization.

9. Women's union activities are flourishing and diverse

Women's work has made its mark with the 8/3 activity, Ao Dai Week, Men's Kitchen Competition; honored 76 outstanding female union members, presented more than 1,030 gifts and 30 scholarships to children of disadvantaged workers.

10. The first Vinh Long Provincial Trade Union Congress

The event took place in a state of affairs with 298 delegates, marking the first term (2025-2030) after the merger of provinces. The Congress has completed 100% of the organization at 519 qualified grassroots unions. The Executive Committee consists of 31 comrades appointed to lead the implementation of 3 breakthroughs, determined to build Vinh Long province to develop quickly and sustainably.
