Vinh Long Labor Union in 2025 develops more than 30,000 union members
Vinh Long - In 2025, Vinh Long Labor Union will take effective care, build 99 shelters, develop more than 30,000 union members, and affirm the representation of workers.
On January 11, the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor (VFF) held a conference to summarize trade union activities in 2025, directly combined online at 3 locations in Vinh Long, Ben Tre, Tra Vinh (before the merger), with more than 500 delegates attending.
In 2025, Vinh Long Trade Union will continue to affirm its role in representing and protecting workers with many outstanding results: developing 30,024 more union members, establishing 84 new grassroots unions, bringing the total number of union members managing more than 170,000 people; at the same time, supporting the construction and repair of 99 "Union Shelters" and "Health Shelters of the Medical Industry", reaching 247.5% of the target, disseminating the law to more than 175,000 union members, reaching 111.8% of the plan....

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and enthusiastically discussing the working theme of 2026: "Promoting innovation; concretizing and bringing the Resolution of the Party Congress, the Fatherland Front, and the Trade Union into life", and at the same time giving comments on adjusting 12 system targets and proposing solutions to implement them in accordance with grassroots practices.
In addition, the delegate assessed the substance of emulation movements associated with production labor, registration of initiatives, and technical improvements; at the same time, discussed the work of cadres after the merger, proposed to improve the quality of grassroots trade union cadres, soon complete regulations, and clearly assign responsibilities at the unit.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Nhung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Vinh Long Province - highly appreciated the efforts of the Trade Unions at all levels in the context of restructuring the apparatus and operating the two-level local government model. She affirmed that the successful organization of the first Trade Union Congress at all levels and the Provincial Trade Union Congress shows the stability in organization, contributing to the effective implementation of the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term.
Ms. Nhung suggested that the Trade Unions at all levels strengthen forecasting, grasping and promptly resolving arising labor relations in enterprises, maintaining stability, security and order, preventing work stoppages and strikes; at the same time, focus on improving the quality of grassroots trade union staff, equipping practical skills, and strengthening the trust of workers.
Entering 2026, Ms. Nhung hopes that the Vinh Long Provincial Trade Union will continue to innovate, create, build a seamless connection channel from the province to the grassroots, promote the tradition of discipline of the working class, strive to complete and exceed the targets, contribute to building a strong political system, sustainable socio-economic development.

Speaking at the closing session of the conference, Mr. Nguyen Phuc Linh - Member of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor - acknowledged and fully accepted the comments, at the same time thoroughly grasped and accepted the instructions of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee.
Mr. Linh emphasized that 2026 is the first year of implementing the Resolutions of Party Congresses and Trade Union Congresses at all levels, requiring trade unions at all levels to focus on concretizing the resolutions into practice, innovating propaganda work, promoting digital transformation, building "Digital Trade Union".
The Chairman of the Provincial Federation of Labor proposed to strengthen dialogue and collective bargaining, protect the rights of workers; prioritize taking care of the Lunar New Year, implementing long-term welfare, while continuing to strengthen the organization, develop union members, perfect regulations, and manage transparent finances.
