Permanent Deputy Prime Minister directs to remove difficulties for key projects in Quang Ninh

According to the Government's Electronic Information Portal, regarding the aircraft maintenance and repair center project in Van Don as proposed by Swire Group, UK, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh requested the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province to urgently coordinate with relevant ministries and branches to create conditions to attract foreign investors to participate in aircraft maintenance and repair activities at Van Don International Airport.

Regarding the investment policy for the High-end Complex Tourism Service Project in Van Don Economic Zone, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh assigned the Ministry of Finance to preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to urgently complete the appraisal of the project dossier in accordance with the direction of Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha in document No. 436/VPCP-CN dated January 19, 2024, and submit it to the Prime Minister before April 15, 2025.

Regarding the Ha Long Xanh Urban Complex project, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province proactively reviewed and adjusted the related planning according to authority and regulations. In case of problems and beyond the authority, assign the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Construction, according to their assigned functions and tasks, to study, review, and propose solutions to remove problems for localities, including Quang Ninh, to amend and supplement laws related to planning; report to the Government to submit to the National Assembly at the 9th session.

The Deputy Prime Minister assigned the Ministries of Education and Training, Agriculture and Environment, Construction, and Health, according to their assigned functions and tasks, to urgently issue a written response to resolve problems and proposals from the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province, with the highest responsibility, not to respond generally, unclearly or refer to current legal regulations; to be completed before April 15, 2025.

The Ministry of Finance shall preside over and coordinate with relevant agencies to handle problems to promptly receive the handover of the Air Traffic Control Station at Van Don International Airport according to regulations.

Ministries and central agencies closely coordinate with the People's Committee of Quang Ninh province and investors to remove difficulties and obstacles for the province's key projects, soon put projects into construction, create new development space, attract investment resources outside of society, promote sustainable economic growth.
