Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long attends the Sam Son Ward Party Congress

Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long attended and directed the Congress. Also attending the Congress were Mr. Trinh Tuan Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province; representatives of provincial departments, branches and sectors; leaders of neighboring wards and communes and 250 official delegates representing thousands of party members in the entire Sam Son Ward Party Committee.

According to the political report at the Congress, Sam Son ward was established on the basis of merging 7 wards: Bac Son, Quang Tien, Quang Cu, Trung Son, Truong Son, Quang Chau and Quang Tho.

During the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee, government and people of all walks of life in Sam Son ward have promoted the spirit of solidarity, strived, resolutely and effectively implemented the set goals, tasks and solutions, achieving many comprehensive results in all fields.

The economy maintains high growth, the average growth rate of production value in the period of 2021-2025 is estimated at 12.7%, higher than the general average of the whole province, the economic structure has shifted positively. Average income per capita in 2025 is estimated at 88.5 million VND, among the highest in the province.

Tourism continues to maintain its role as a spearhead economic sector, contributing significantly to the economic growth of the ward. Agricultural, forestry and fishery production remains stable; industry - handicrafts continue to grow; culture - society has many positive changes; traditional cultural values are preserved and promoted.

The work of building the Party and the political system has been strengthened; the arrangement and consolidation of the apparatus has been carried out seriously and promptly, initially streamlining focal points, improving the quality of the staff and civil servants.

For the 2025-2030 term, with the motto of action "Solidarity - Discipline - Creativity - Development", the Sam Son Ward Party Committee set out key tasks and targets: striving for a rate of increase in the total product value to an average of 13.5% or more; in the 2026-2030 period, welcome 48 million tourists or more; average income in 2030 will reach 136.5 million VND or more.

Deploy breakthroughs: strengthen the building of a clean and strong Party and political system; improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state management; promote the strength of great national unity; build a professional urban government, serving the people.

Focus on comprehensive socio-economic development, taking tourism services as a spearhead, associated with the development of modern, civilized, smart and sustainable coastal cities; aiming to build Sam Son ward into a high-quality tourism and service center of Thanh Hoa province and a leading unique coastal urban area in the country.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Trinh Tuan Sinh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province - praised the results that the Party Committee and people of Sam Son ward have achieved in the past term; at the same time, he outlined a number of tasks and solutions for the locality to study and implement, successfully implementing the goals set by the Congress.

At the Congress, the decision of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee on appointing the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee, the Secretary, the Deputy Secretary, and the Inspection Committee of the Sam Son Ward Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term was announced. Mr. Le Trong Thu was appointed to hold the position of Secretary of the Sam Son Ward Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
