Subjects receiving Tet gifts from 1 million to 10 million VND in Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh City gives Tet gifts from 1 million to 10 million VND to people with meritorious services, retirees, poor households, social protection, officials, civil servants, public employees, and workers.

Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee has just issued a plan to organize activities and funds to care for Binh Ngo Tet 2026, with a total budget of more than 2,123 billion VND.

Ho Chi Minh City will give Tet gifts worth from 1 million VND to 10 million VND to policy beneficiaries, people with meritorious services, people receiving pensions, poor households, and social protection beneficiaries.

For policy beneficiaries, the City arranged 210,008 gifts, divided into 12 groups of beneficiaries, corresponding to 12 levels of support.

Group 1: 10 million VND/person for 72 Vietnamese Heroic Mothers who are receiving monthly preferential allowances.

Group 2: 7 million VND/person for 120 veteran revolutionary cadres, pre-insurrection cadres and Heroes of the People's Armed Forces who are receiving monthly allowances.

Group 3: 3.1 million VND/person for 355 wounded soldiers, people enjoying policies like wounded soldiers, sick soldiers with a body injury rate of 81% or more and with particularly severe injuries and illnesses.

Group 4: 3 million VND/person for 93 relatives of 2 or more martyrs who are receiving monthly survivor's allowance.

Group 5: 2.8 million VND/ration for 8,228 relatives worshiping Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and People's Armed Forces Heroes.

Group 6: 2.5 million VND/person, including 6,211 relatives of martyrs, people who nurtured martyrs, spouses of martyrs who have remarried and are receiving monthly allowances.

Group 9: 1.8 million VND/person, including 15,533 wounded soldiers, people enjoying policies like wounded soldiers with a body injury rate from 21% to 60%.

Group 10: 1.7 million VND/prize, including 106,198 people, who are prisoners of war of resistance, sick soldiers, revolutionary and resistance activists, protecting the Fatherland and people who are awarded medals and orders of resistance.

Group 11: 1.5 million VND/person, including 14,209 people, who are children of people infected with chemical toxins, youth volunteers who completed tasks in the resistance war and subjects entitled to one-time allowances according to regulations.

Group 12: 1 million VND/person, including 49,741 people receiving one-time allowances according to the Prime Minister's decisions.

For subjects currently enjoying monthly social insurance benefits, Ho Chi Minh City spends 348,600 gifts, divided into 2 groups.

Group 1, at 1.8 million VND/person, includes 316,530 people, who are pensioners and retired commune and ward officials.

Group 2, level of 1.3 million VND/person, including 32,070 people, are people who have had labor accidents, loss of working capacity, people receiving monthly survivor's allowance and subjects enjoying benefits according to the Prime Minister's decision.

People with prestige among ethnic minorities in the City were given gifts worth 2.5 million VND/gift to 1,228 people.

For poor households, the support level is 1.5 million VND/household, with 6,031 households benefiting.

Social protection beneficiaries living in the community are paid 410,843 allowances by Ho Chi Minh City, each allowance of 1.5 million VND.

Ho Chi Minh City also presented Tet gifts worth 2 million VND to 214,430 officials, civil servants, public employees and workers.

Of which, 165,779 people are cadres, civil servants, public employees and laborers of agencies of the Communist Party of Vietnam, the State, the Vietnam Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations, public non-business units managed by the City (excluding public non-business units group 1, group 2), people working at associations assigned tasks by the Party and State and non-specialized commune-level personnel.

In addition, 48,651 people are cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers working at central agencies headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City.
