According to information from the Tan Son Nhat Traffic Police Team, the incident occurred at about 6:30 pm on January 26. At this time, Captain Cao Hoai Sang, Tan Son Nhat Traffic Police Team was on duty regulating traffic at the Truong Chinh - Tan Ky Tan Quy intersection (HCMC) when receiving a request for support from people.

A mother in a state of panic called on traffic police officers to help take her 2-year-old son who was choking on a foreign object to the emergency room. Realizing the critical situation and the density of vehicles during rush hour was very high, Captain Cao Hoai Sang immediately reported to the on-duty team to ask for opinions, and quickly used a specialized motorbike to carry the mother and child straight to Thong Nhat Hospital.
At Thong Nhat Hospital, after a preliminary examination, doctors indicated that the baby boy must be immediately transferred to Children's Hospital 1 for in-depth intervention. Without hesitation, the traffic police officer continued to start the specialized vehicle, turn on the priority horn to open the way, through the traffic flow, and take the baby boy to a specialized pediatric hospital in the shortest time.
Thanks to the timely support of functional forces, doctors at Children's Hospital 1 successfully removed the foreign object. Currently, the health of the 2-year-old boy has stabilized.
