Many workers and farmers run for election as delegates to the Lao Cai Provincial People's Council

The election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026-2031 term taking place on March 15 is an important political event, attracting the attention of voters nationwide.

At 16 electoral units in Lao Cai province, the atmosphere of preparation for the great festival of the whole people is taking place urgently and seriously.

Voters here clearly define that the ballot is not only a right but also a responsibility, a sending of faith to those who are truly worthy of representing the will and aspirations of the People.

Mr. Hoang Huy Hung, a resident of hamlet 8, Muong Lai commune, shared: "We want the elected person to be close to the people, understand the people, and speak the voice of the people. Not only be qualified, but also be responsible, dare to speak out to protect the legitimate rights of the People.

In the official list of 105 candidates for the Lao Cai Provincial People's Council, many people are noticed because they are originally workers and farmers.

Voting unit No. 2 includes Mr. Duong Truong Giang (born 1981, worker of Yen Thanh Joint Stock Company, Yen Binh commune, Lao Cai province).

Voting unit No. 4 includes Ms. Ban Thi Hoa (born 1990, office worker of Dang Khoa Private Enterprise, Tran Yen commune, Lao Cai province); Ms. Hoang Thi Nhung (born 1993, worker of Dang Khoa Private Enterprise, Tran Yen commune, Lao Cai province).

Voting unit No. 7 includes Ms. Le Thi Nguyet (born 1994, farmer in Dong Tam village, Mau An commune, Lao Cai province); Ms. Doan Thi Van (born 1998, administrative and personnel staff of Son Ha Spice Co., Ltd., Lao Cai branch).

Voting unit No. 10 includes Ms. Vang Thi Tuyet Mai (born 1997, farmer in Ban Xeo village, Ban Xeo commune, Lao Cai province) and Ms. Vu Thi Sung (born 1994, farmer in Kim Sang Ho village, Ban Xeo commune, Lao Cai province).

According to many voters, the participation of workers and farmers in elected bodies not only contributes to diversifying the composition of delegates but also helps the voice from the grassroots level to be fully and more accurately reflected in the process of policy making and promulgation.

This is also an opportunity for workers to directly participate in state management activities, contributing intelligence and practical experience to the development of the locality.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan, a worker working at Tang Loong Industrial Park - expressed: "We expect delegates from workers to speak out the truthful voice of workers, especially issues of stable employment, income, working conditions, housing and social security regimes.

Sharing the same expectation, Ms. Giang Thi Sua, a farmer in Ban Xeo commune - shared: "Farmers running for provincial People's Council delegates is very encouraging. People hope that delegates will pay more attention to agricultural production, support seeds, techniques, product output and invest in transportation, electricity, and water infrastructure to improve the lives of the highlands.

Voters expect that, if elected, delegates who are workers and farmers will promote their representative role, regularly contact and listen to people's opinions, truthfully reflect the thoughts and legitimate aspirations of voters to the People's Council and functional agencies, contributing to building a government close to the people and for the people.
