There will be instructions on the structure and composition of people recommended to run for People's Council delegates

The Government issued Resolution No. 293/NQ-CP dated September 23, 2025 on the draft Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee guiding the determination of the expected structure, composition and allocation of the number of people recommended to run for People's Council (PC) candidates at all levels for the 2026-2031 term

In the resolution, the Government agreed to approve the draft submission of the Government to the National Assembly Standing Committee on the promulgation of a Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee guiding the determination of the expected structure, composition and allocation of the number of people recommended to run for People's Council delegates at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

Including the proposal to the National Assembly Standing Committee to allow the development and promulgation of the Resolution according to shortened procedures and order.

Agree to approve the content of the draft Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee guiding the determination of the expected structure, composition and allocation of the number of people recommended to run for People's Council delegates at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

The Government assigned the Minister of Home Affairs, authorized by the Prime Minister, to sign the Government's submission on behalf of the Government to the National Assembly Standing Committee on the promulgation of a Resolution of the National Assembly Standing Committee guiding the determination of the expected structure, composition and allocation of the number of people recommended to run for People's Council delegates at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

Previously, the National Assembly decided that the election day for the 16th National Assembly and People's Council delegates at all levels for the 2026-2031 term was Sunday, March 15, 2026.
