Research on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Constitution

On the afternoon of March 4, in Hanoi, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man chaired a meeting on the results of work in February, key tasks for March and the following months of 2025 of the National Assembly agencies and the National Assembly Office.

In his concluding remarks, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man stated that the arrangement and streamlining of the National Assembly's apparatus has been basically completed. The remaining work will continue to be carried out in a concise and efficient manner.

Emphasizing streamlining the organizational structure of the political system is a great revolution, the Chairman of the National Assembly said that the tasks that the National Assembly, the Party, the Government, and localities have been completed are very large, but in the coming time there are still many things to do.

In March and the following months of 2025, the National Assembly Chairman requested that the National Assembly agencies continue to make efforts, join hands, unite, promote experience, the spirit of urgent and responsible work as in the past to successfully complete assigned tasks.

The Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh directed the Standing Legal and Justice Committee to study and amend and supplement a number of articles of the Constitution related to the organization of the political system;

Study and propose amendments to a number of related laws and resolutions in accordance with the conclusions of the Politburo;

Coordinate with Government agencies to study and propose specific amendments and supplements to legal documents related to the reorganization of the apparatus that must be handled immediately, with specific characteristics, without handling them according to the general principles of legal documents issued by the National Assembly and the National Assembly Standing Committee before.

The Chairman of the National Assembly suggested that the Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Duc Hai directed the Permanent Economic and Finance Committee to urgently coordinate with the Government agencies to review and study the revision of the Planning Law, report to the Politburo, complete the latest on June 30, 2025.

The Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Thi Thanh directed the advisory agencies to develop a plan to summarize the term of the National Assembly, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly and the agencies of the National Assembly; advising, building and completing the election plan to submit to the Politburo for comments in August 2025.

The Vice Presidents of the National Assembly direct the National Assembly's agencies to coordinate with the Government's agencies: thoroughly grasp and implement the laws and resolutions approved by the National Assembly at the 9th unusual meeting;

Review the overall plan to issue detailed guidance documents on the laws and resolutions that have been passed.

"We give the Government very strong authority, and to localities, we must strengthen supervision and urging. The two sides will coordinate closely to ensure effective implementation of laws and resolutions" - the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.
