The North is about to welcome cold air, forecasting heavy rain

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, tomorrow, April 10, the temperature in the North will remain high. In particular, the Northwest region has hot sunny places with the highest temperature commonly 30 - 33 degrees Celsius.

However, from around the evening and night of April 11, the North will be affected by a cold front, causing clear changes in both temperature and weather.

In the Northeast from the night of April 11, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having moderate to heavy rain. From the night of April 12, the Northeast region will have rain in some places.

The Northwest from the night of April 11 to April 13 is forecast to have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having moderate to heavy rain. From April 14, the Northwest region will have rain in some places.

The area from Thanh Hoa to Hue on April 12 and April 13 is forecast to have scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having moderate to heavy rain.

The meteorological agency warns that April is the changing seasons, cold air waves causing thunderstorms have the potential risk of tornadoes, lightning, hail, and strong gusts of wind. Cold air is likely to cause strong winds and large waves, affecting fishermen's maritime activities and fishing at sea.

Regarding temperature trends in April, according to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the average temperature in the North is generally at a level close to the average of many years. The area from Da Nang to Binh Thuan, the Central Highlands and the South has an average temperature generally 0.5 to 1 degree Celsius higher than the average of many years.

The temperature in the Thanh Hoa to Hue area is generally 0.5 to 1 degree Celsius lower than the average of many years in the same period.

Regarding rainfall, the total rainfall across the country in April was generally 5 to 15mm lower than the average of many years; in some places in the mountainous and midland areas of the North, the Southern Central Highlands and the Southeast region, some places were 10 to 30mm higher than the average of many years in the same period.
