Lang Son appoints 65 officers as Commanders of the Commune-level Military Command
Lang Son - 65 Commanders of the Military Command at the commune level have just been appointed according to a new model.
On January 13, the Lang Son Provincial Military Command (CHQS) held a conference to announce the Decision of the Minister of National Defense on reorganizing the Commune-level Military Command according to a new model.
According to the decision, the Ministry of National Defense dismissed 65 Commanders of the Military Commands of communes and wards and transferred and appointed 65 regular military officers to hold the position of Commander of the Military Commands at the commune level.
The term of appointment is 5 years, starting from January 11, 2026.

The officers mobilized from the Provincial Military Command, Division 3, Economic - Defense Group 338 and Military School of Military Region 1 are all officers with professional qualifications and political courage, meeting the requirements of the tasks in the new situation.
The reorganization of the Commune-level Military Command aims to enhance the national defense potential, improve the quality and combat readiness of the armed forces at the grassroots level, ensure focused and unified direction in performing local defense and military tasks.
Colonel Mai Xuan Phong, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, requested the new Commanders of the Military Commands of communes and wards to quickly approach their tasks, complete the handover of organization, staffing, and equipment; grasp the situation in the area, militia and self-defense forces, reserve forces, and coordinate with forces to maintain security and order at the grassroots level.
