Starting construction of 200 billion VND Medical Center in Bao Lac border commune, Cao Bang
General Phan Van Giang attended the groundbreaking ceremony of Bao Lac Medical Center, Cao Bang province.
On December 29, in Bao Lac commune (Cao Bang province), a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the construction of Bao Lac Medical Center - a 110-bed medical facility sponsored by the 20th Corps and the Ministry of National Defense.
This is an activity of political and social significance, towards the 85th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's return to the country to lead the Vietnamese revolution.
Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Minister of National Defense; Ms. Dao Hong Lan - Member of the Party Central Committee, Minister of Health; along with leaders, former leaders of the Central Committee, military generals, representatives of ministries, branches and leaders of Cao Bang province.

Bao Lac Medical Center was built in Bao Lac commune, a multi-functional medical facility with a scale of 110 beds, a professional system, synchronous and modern techniques and medical equipment.
The project has a total investment of 200 billion VND, sponsored by the 20th Army Corps, Ministry of National Defense according to the policy of the Ministry of National Defense; the Cao Bang Provincial Investment and Construction Project Management Board is the investor. The expected implementation period is in the period of 2026 - 2027.
Speaking at the ceremony, General Phan Van Giang emphasized that caring for people's health is a major and consistent policy of the Party and State.

The goal is to have each citizen have a health check-up and examination at least once a year, considering this an important measure of social security and development quality.
The Minister of National Defense affirmed that the Vietnam People's Army comes from the people and serves the people. In peacetime, the Army continues to accompany the people in socio-economic development, taking care of their lives, and firmly defending the Fatherland in all situations.
Cao Bang is the cradle of the Vietnamese revolution, where President Ho Chi Minh returned to his homeland in 1941 to directly lead the revolution; and is also an important strategic area for national defense and security.
The investment in building Bao Lac Medical Center shows the concern of the Central Government and the Army for localities facing many difficulties, especially in the field of social security.




Implementing the direction of the Ministry of National Defense, the 20th Army Corps has closely coordinated with Cao Bang province in the process of preparing and implementing the project, selecting a location based on the actual needs of the people, thereby continuing to promote the tradition of military-civilian solidarity through specific and practical projects.
When completed, Bao Lac Medical Center will contribute to improving the capacity to care for the health of people in mountainous and border areas; gradually completing the basic medical infrastructure; serving the people and armed forces in their duties, while improving the ability to respond to natural disasters and epidemics in the new situation.
