Khanh Hoa starts construction of Thuy Trieu canal overpass, connecting Cam Lam super urban area

On the morning of December 25, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province held a groundbreaking ceremony for Nguyen Tat Thanh bridge - an important transport infrastructure project, contributing to the completion of the inter-regional connection network, creating development momentum for the Cam Lam area and the south of Khanh Hoa province.

Nguyen Tat Thanh Bridge is built on a strategic traffic axis, playing a direct connection role between Nha Trang, Cam Lam and Cam Ranh International Airport.

The project is about 400 meters long, crossing Thuy Trieu canal, designed in the form of a modern arch, creating a harmonious architectural highlight with the natural landscape of Cam Lam - Cam Ranh area.

According to the plan, when completed, Nguyen Tat Thanh Bridge will connect directly with Cam Lam New Urban Area - a multi-functional urban area, combining residential space, trade - services and ecological landscape.

The project is expected to contribute to the completion of the transport infrastructure system, increase investment attraction, promote economic - service development, and at the same time create a foundation to improve the quality of life for people in the area.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Tran Hoa Nam - Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee - emphasized that the implementation of the Nguyen Tat Thanh bridge project demonstrates the province's determination to invest in synchronous transport infrastructure associated with urban development.

The provincial leaders requested the investor to organize the construction with the highest sense of responsibility, ensuring quality, progress, labor safety and full compliance with regulations on environmental protection.

Previously, in early 2025, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province approved the policy for Vinhomes Joint Stock Company to implement the Nguyen Tat Thanh bridge project.

The project is located on Nguyen Tat Thanh Street, in Cam Ranh Peninsula Tourist Area, Cam Hai Dong Commune, with an expected implementation period of 2025 - 2027.

At the request of the province, Vinhomes is responsible for organizing an architectural design competition (if any), ensuring the design is in accordance with the overall planning of the area, synchronized with the landscape of Thuy Trieu canal leading to the sea.

The total investment and specific technical plan will be determined during the project implementation process.

Regarding the Cam Lam area, on March 25, 2025, the Prime Minister approved the investment policy for the Cam Lam New Urban Area project with a total area of over 10,356 hectares, with an estimated population of about 584,364 people.

The project has a total investment of more than VND 260,267 billion, implemented from 2025 to 2037 under the form of bidding to select investors.
