Hau Giang plans to have 29/75 communes and wards after the arrangement
Hau Giang - Department of Home Affairs informed that the province has 75 commune-level administrative units, and it is expected that after the arrangement, 46 units will be reduced, leaving 29 communes and wards.
Accordingly, in Vi Thanh city, there are also Vi Thanh ward (merging wards 1, 3, 5, 7); Vi Tan ward (merging Vi Tan commune and ward 4) and Hoa Luu commune (merging Hoa Luu, Hoa Tien, Tan Tien communes).
Vi Thuy district still has 4 communes including: Nang Mau, Vi Thuy, Dong Thanh Binh, Vinh Tuong.
Long My district still has 4 communes including: Vinh Vien, Thuan Hung, Luong Tam; keep Xa Phien commune.
In Long My town, there are 3 wards including: Long Binh, Long My, Long Phu.
In Chau Thanh A district, there are 3 communes including: Thanh Xuan; Tan Hoa, Truong Long Tay.
In Chau Thanh district, there are 3 communes including: Chau Thanh, Dong Phuoc, Phu Huu.
In Nga Bay city, there are 2 wards including: Dai Thanh, Nga Bay.
In Phung Hiep district, there are 7 communes: Tan Binh, Hoa An, Phuong Binh, Tan Phuoc Hung, Hiep Hung, Phung Hiep, Long Thanh.
