Two T54 tanks appear at the program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South
The two T54 tanks of the Armored Forces Command will be put on display at the art and political program to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South.
This afternoon (October 10), the Organizing Committee of the "North-South sung of the treble" Art Program said that the program will be held at My Dinh Stadium at 8:10 p.m. on April 22.
"The North-South sunglaws" is an art and political program chaired by the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee, in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, Hanoi City, directing the Army Radio and Television Center to implement, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Speaking at the meeting, Colonel Pham Van Tu - Director of the Army Radio and Television Center - emphasized that the "North-South treaty" is a place where memories cannot fade away, where promises are forever resounding. That is the treaty to unify the nation; the treaty to the rear; the treaty to the front line and the treaty to the international community.
The program is a journey back to history, about promises written with blood, tears and the steadfastness of millions of children of Vietnam.
The program will recreate promises through political and artistic language, combining historical documents, feature reports, scenes, music and modern performance technology.
One of the emotional highlights of the program is the journey back to the source of 120 veterans - soldiers from the past returning to the old battlefield, called the "North-South Agreement" journey. Veterans will travel to the Central Highlands to visit the ancient battlefields in Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh and Ho Chi Minh City.
Also according to Colonel Pham Van Tu, in this art and political program, 2 T54 tanks of the Armored Arms Command (Ministry of National Defense) will be driven by soldiers into My Dinh National Stadium (Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi) for live-fire.
In the program, the tank drivers will be professional soldiers and the performing crew will be actors, they will sing the song "five brothers on a tank".
According to Colonel Tu, "The North-South treaty" is the largest political program with a stage ever with a scale of up to 2,700 m2. The stage is divided into 2 parallel blocks representing the North - South, in the middle is Hien Luong bridge across Ben Hai river.
"The highlight of the stage is the 3D mapping projection technology (a performance technique that combines lighting and dynamic photography to create a 3D effect) projected onto the water screen. This is something that has never appeared in any program before," Mr. Tu emphasized.
