Hanoi starts construction of a road worth nearly VND5,000 billion, with a cross-section of 60m
Hanoi - The traffic project has just started in Dong Anh commune with a length of 5.66km, a total investment of nearly VND5,000 billion, expected to be completed in 2027.
On January 16, Dong Anh commune (Hanoi) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the investment project to build a road connecting Tu Lien bridge from the intersection of Tu Lien bridge approach road with Truong Sa road to the Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway.
This is a key transport infrastructure project with a total investment of nearly VND5,000 billion, using Hanoi City's budget capital, expected to create a breakthrough in connecting and developing urban areas in the Northern part of the capital.
According to the representative of the Dong Anh Commune Infrastructure Investment Management Board, the project was assigned by the City People's Committee to Dong Anh Commune as the investor, belonging to a level I traffic project.
The project is about 5.66km long, with a cross-section of 60m. The starting point of the project is at the intersection of Tu Lien Bridge and Truong Sa Street, the end point is at the intersection with Hanoi - Thai Nguyen Expressway.
On the route, 3 important intersections will be built, including: Intersection with the old National Highway 3; Intersection with LK53 road according to the plan and the current Hanoi - Lao Cai railway line; Intersection with Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway and Ring Road 3.
Along with that, the project to invest in the construction of a bridge system on the main route such as the overpass on Ring Road 3 and the planned railway; the overpass at the National Highway 3 intersection over Ngu Huyen Khe river; the overpass over Ngu Huyen Khe river.
Build a parallel bridge across Ngu Huyen Khe river, expand Loc Ha bridge and build 4 branch bridges at the intersection with Hanoi - Thai Nguyen expressway and Ring Road 3 ( branches of Ramp 1, Ramp 3, Ramp 4 and Ramp 7).
After the Hanoi People's Committee issued Decision No. 4110/QD-UBND on August 4, 2025, the Dong Anh Commune People's Committee urgently implemented compensation, support, and site clearance work, and approved the contractor selection plan in accordance with the provisions of law.
To suit actual conditions and ensure long-term exploitation efficiency, the People's Committee of Dong Anh commune proposed to adjust some items of the Ngu Huyen Khe river overpass construction, including adjusting the bridge width to 26.5m; adding parallel bridges on both sides of the route, synchronously connecting with parallel roads and routes: Duc Tu, Nghia Vu on both sides of the river. Each bridge consists of 2 spans, with a span diagram of 2 x 33m, a bridge width of 2 x 16m, and a total length of 74.546m.
The project is expected to be completed in the second quarter of 2027.
When put into operation, the route will not only contribute to reducing the load on existing traffic routes, shortening the connection distance between Dong Anh and the center of Hanoi city and the northern provinces, but also open up new development space for urban areas, services, trade, and logistics.
