Bac Tu Son - Bac Ninh social housing project adjusts investment policy
Bac Ninh - The Provincial People's Committee has just issued a decision approving the adjustment of the investment policy for the low-income housing project in the Bac Tu Son housing area.
According to the decision, the time for completing the acceptance and putting the project into use for the 2 apartment buildings of the project (buildings CT1, CT2) is adjusted to: until the end of January 2026.
The time to complete project adjustment procedures, invest in construction of works and complete acceptance of works for use of 2 mixed-use commercial housing blocks (10 apartments) with 5 floors and 1 attic is adjusted to: until the end of December 2026.
Regarding implementation, the decision also clearly states the responsibilities of each unit including the Departments of Construction, Finance, Agriculture and Environment, People's Committees of Dong Nguyen and Tu Son wards and the investor is Green Environment Company Limited.
In particular, it is emphasized that project investors must carry out the process and order of buying and selling social housing in the project to ensure compliance with legal regulations on housing; be responsible for periodically reporting the project implementation status quarterly and annually to the Department of Construction and relevant agencies according to regulations.
The apartment complex for low-income people in the Bac Tu Son residential area has the commercial name of the Green Environment social housing project.
In 2022, Lao Dong Newspaper published a series of articles reflecting on signs of approved price differences of hundreds of millions of VND, which were not for the right subjects in this social housing project.
After that, following the direction of the Ministry of Construction and the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province to clarify the content of the Lao Dong Newspaper's reflection, the Department of Construction of Bac Ninh province stepped in to inspect and discovered many violations in this project.
Thereby, the project investor was fined VND170 million and 54 social housing apartments were recovered and sold to the wrong subjects.
It is known that this is the social housing project with the largest number of apartments reclaimed in Bac Ninh province at present.
