On January 15, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province held a groundbreaking ceremony, broke ground, and opened 7 projects to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party with the central bridge being the groundbreaking ceremony of Cat Lai bridge (Dai Phuoc commune, Dong Nai province) across the Dong Nai river connecting to Ho Chi Minh City.

The 6 component bridge points are: Long Hung Bridge groundbreaking ceremony (Dong Nai 2 Bridge); Technical opening ceremony of Dong Nai riverside road project; Starting ceremony of Nha Bich bridge project on National Highway 14; Starting ceremony of 2.1ha social housing project in Phuoc An commune; Starting ceremony of 3.1ha social housing project in Phuoc An commune; Starting ceremony of the social housing project of Long Hung Residential Area in Long Hung Ward, Dong Nai Province.
The total investment of the projects is more than 50,000 billion VND.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Cat Lai bridge investment project, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh acknowledged the proactiveness and close coordination between Ho Chi Minh City and Dong Nai to implement the project. At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the project to be implemented synchronously and effectively, ensuring progress and quality of the project, ensuring resettlement for people, and the rights of people affected by the project to have a new housing better than the old housing.


The Cat Lai Bridge construction investment project has a total investment of about VND18,299 billion. The project has a total length of more than 11.6 km (cat Lai bridge is about 3km long), with a scale of 6 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for rudimentary vehicles. The project starts in Cat Lai ward, Ho Chi Minh City and ends at the intersection with Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway (Dai Phuoc commune, Dong Nai province). The winning investor was a consortium led by the consortium of Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC, CC1 Asset and Service Management Company Limited, CC1 Investment Joint Stock Company.
The construction period is from 2026 to 2029.



Cat Lai Bridge is a strategic traffic project across the Dong Nai River - the "backbone" connecting the Southeast inter-regional development space, located in the overall connection between Long Thanh Airport and Ho Chi Minh City, route T1 - National Highway 51 - Provincial Road 25C.

The Long Hung Bridge construction investment project (Dong Nai 2 Bridge) has a total investment of about 11,496 billion VND. The total length of the bridge and route is about 9.8 km (Long Hung bridge is about 3.5 km long), with a scale of 6 lanes for motor vehicles and 2 lanes for mixed vehicles.
The starting point of the project is located on the approach road of the bridge, about 2.53 km from Go Cong intersection in Ho Chi Minh City; the end point of the project connects with the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway. The construction site is in Tam Phuoc ward, An Phuoc commune (Dong Nai province) and Long Phuoc ward (HCMC).
The winning investor was a consortium led by CC1 Investment Joint Stock Company, Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC, Southern Infrastructure and Energy Joint Stock Company. The construction period is from 2026 to 2028.
The Long Hung Bridge project is a key traffic project of Dong Nai province, a key " piece of the infrastructure" in the development orientation of Long Thanh airport urban area according to the model of Aerotropolis and the twin city (Twin City) closely linked to Ho Chi Minh City.
Dong Nai starts construction of nearly 6,300 social housing units
3 social housing projects in Dong Nai province started construction on January 15 with a total of nearly 6,300 apartments. Of which, in Phuoc An commune, there are nearly 3,300 houses and in Long Hung ward, about 3,000 houses.

The Dong Nai riverside road project (Tran Bien ward) with a length of more than 5km opened to technical traffic on January 15 is a key project of the province with a total investment of nearly 2,000 billion VND.
