Dong Nai - The groundbreaking ceremony for the Cat Lai and Long Hung 2 bridge projects is expected to be held on January 15 to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party.
On January 8, the Provincial People's Committee Party Committee sent a document to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee for consideration and approval of the organization of a groundbreaking ceremony, groundbreaking ceremony, and technical traffic opening of projects to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party and the founding day of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026).
According to the document, on January 15, Dong Nai will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for the Cat Lai bridge project and the Long Hung bridge project (Dong Nai 2 bridge).
In addition, the province will also start construction and open the technical traffic of 5 other projects on January 15 to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Party; Start construction and open the technical traffic of 5 works and projects on February 3 to celebrate the founding day of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026).
Previously, on December 10, 2025, the 8th session of the 10th Dong Nai Provincial People's Council approved the draft Resolution on the investment policy for the construction of Cat Lai Bridge and Long Hung Bridge (Dong Nai Bridge 2) under the public-private partnership method.
The Cat Lai Bridge construction investment project has a total estimated investment of nearly VND18,300 billion. The project has a total project length of more than 11.6 km, starting at Cat Lai ward, Ho Chi Minh City and ending at the intersection with Ben Luc - Long Thanh expressway. The investor proposing the project is Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC.
The Long Hung Bridge construction investment project (Dong Nai 2 Bridge) has a total estimated investment of about VND 11,495 billion, the total length of the bridge and route is about 9.8 km. The project starts at Long Phuoc ward (HCMC) and ends at the intersection with Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway. The investor proposing the project is the Joint Venture of Construction Corporation No. 1 - JSC - CC1 Investment Joint Stock Company - Southern Infrastructure and Energy Joint Stock Company (CC1 Joint Venture).
These are urgent projects that need to be implemented to serve the exploitation of Long Thanh International Airport, connecting Ho Chi Minh City and developing the socio-economy of Dong Nai province.
