An Giang - The National Assembly Delegation organized 442 meetings with voters, more than 34,470 voters participated, and more than 900 opinions and recommendations were recorded.
On the morning of December 31, the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang province summarized the work of the 15th term (2021 - 2026) and celebrated the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026).
Ms. Tran Thi Thanh Huong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang Province, said that the National Assembly Delegation of An Giang Province has 16 delegates, including 7 Central delegates and 9 local delegates. For the 2021 - 2026 term, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation will fulfill its role as a solid "connector", bringing the voice of the people to the parliament and legal policies into practical life.
The delegation held 122 conferences, collecting comments on 64 important draft laws. At the sessions, delegates participated in voting to approve 148 draft laws and 181 Resolutions on legal norms, creating a comprehensive legal framework for the country's socio-economic development and international integration.
The supervision activities of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation have made strong progress in both breadth and depth, focusing on pressing issues that voters are interested in. During the 45 National Assembly sessions, the delegation conducted 38 direct questions, 15 written questions and 3 debates with the Prime Minister and Government members. The questioning contents revolved around areas such as: Labor, land, agriculture, justice, security and order and climate change...
During her term, the delegation organized 442 meetings with voters with the participation of more than 34,470 voters, with more than 900 opinions and recommendations recorded. Of these, over 70% of opinions have been resolved and responded to in writing by competent authorities...
It has mobilized organizations, businesses and philanthropists to contribute a total value of nearly 120 billion VND to build bridges, houses, schools and give gifts to disadvantaged households.
Speaking at the conference, An Giang Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Tien Hai emphasized: Along with the entire political system, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation will continue to contribute to making An Giang develop rapidly and sustainably, becoming a bright spot in the Mekong Delta.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Tien Hai believes that: The Provincial National Assembly Delegation will continue to promote the tradition of solidarity, courage, and intelligence, constantly innovate methods of operation, improve the quality of representation, and be a solid bridge between voters and the National Assembly, between the Central and local governments.
On this occasion, the National Assembly Standing Committee presented the "For the Cause of the Vietnamese National Assembly" Medal to 9 individuals. The Chairman of the An Giang Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 6 individuals with outstanding achievements in mobilizing material contributions and funding to effectively implement social security work; awarded certificates of merit to 9 groups and 29 individuals with outstanding achievements in performing the duties of National Assembly deputies.
