Director of Hai Phong Maritime Port Authority Bui Nguyen Khoi shared his feelings of pride and emotion when watching the Opening Ceremony of the 14th National Party Congress. The head of the Hai Phong Maritime Port Authority also said that the trend of strong increase in the size of world ships has directly affected Hai Phong. In recent years, the size of ships entering and leaving the city's seaports has increased, especially in the Lach Huyen and Dinh Vu areas.

The successful receipt of large-tonage vessels is the result of synchronous efforts from the business community, along with guidance, support and close coordination of State management agencies at seaports.
