On the morning of January 19, the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (14th National Congress) held a special session at the National Convention Center, Hanoi.

Before the opening of the adjournment session, delegates attending the Congress visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.

After that, Politburo members, the Secretariat and Heads of delegations of Party Committees directly under the Central Committee attended the Congress to lay wreaths and offer incense at the Monument to the Heroes and Martyrs.
