The 14th National Party Congress elects a Presidium consisting of 16 Politburo members

On the morning of January 19, the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam (14th National Congress) held a special session at the National Convention Center, Hanoi.

Before the opening of the adjournment session, delegates attending the Congress visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.

After that, Politburo members, the Secretariat and Heads of delegations of Party Committees directly under the Central Committee attended the Congress to lay wreaths and offer incense at the Monument to the Heroes and Martyrs.

The entire Congress observed a minute of silence to commemorate the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and the members of the 13th Party Central Committee who passed away during their term.

Comrade Tran Thanh Man - Politburo member, Chairman of the National Assembly of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, on behalf of key leaders of the Party and State, chaired the ad Household Meeting.

The Congress voted in favor and highly unanimously approved the ad litter session program, the Congress's Working Regulations, the Congress's Working Program and the Election Regulations at the 14th National Congress of the Party.

The Congress elected a Presidium consisting of 16 Politburo members. The Congress elected a Secretariat consisting of 5 comrades and an Inspection Committee of the delegation status attending the Congress consisting of 13 comrades.

The Congress voted in favor and highly agreed to approve the Report on the appraisal of the status of delegates of the 14th National Party Congress submitted by the Delegation status Inspection Committee. Accordingly, all 1,586 delegates summoned to the Congress are eligible to be Congress delegates.

In the afternoon, delegates studied the documents at the delegation's residence.
