Hanoi Police announce traffic diversion to serve the Vietnam Trade Union Congress
Hanoi - From June 3rd to 5th, Hanoi City Police will divert and restrict vehicles on many roads to ensure traffic for the Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
From June 3rd to June 5th, 2026, at the National Convention Center (No. 2 Thang Long Avenue, Tu Liem ward, Hanoi city), the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026 - 2031 will take place.
To ensure security, safety and traffic order to serve the Congress, Hanoi City Police announces traffic diversion plans and organize directions for vehicles as follows:
Temporary ban, restriction of vehicles
From 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM; from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM; from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM and from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM on days from June 3, 2026 to the end of June 5, 2026.
Roads temporarily closed, vehicles restricted
Temporarily prohibit trucks with a designed total weight of 1.5 tons or more, passenger cars with 16 seats or more (except buses, garbage collection vehicles, incident handling vehicles, vehicles with protective badges, vehicles of the Police, Army and other priority vehicles according to the provisions of law); and restrict other vehicles participating in traffic operating on the following routes:
Kim Ma, Nguyen Chi Thanh, Tran Duy Hung, Pham Hung (section from Me Tri to Thang Long Avenue), Do Duc Duc, Mieu Dam, Ring Road III elevated (section from Ho Tung Mau to Thanh Tri bridge and vice versa), Thang Long Avenue service road (section from Pham Hung to Provincial Road 70 overpass).
Guiding alternative traffic routes
During the time of organizing traffic diversion, Hanoi City Police guide vehicles to move along roundabout routes to avoid restricted areas as follows:
Vehicles from the eastern provinces (Hai Phong, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh...) to the northern, western and northwestern provinces (Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang...) circulate along the route: Thanh Tri bridge - Hanoi - Bac Giang expressway - National Highway 18 and vice versa.
Vehicles from the Eastern provinces to the Western and Northwest provinces (Phu Tho, Son La, Dien Bien...) travel along the route: Thanh Tri bridge - Do Muoi - Ngoc Hoi - Phan Trong Tue - Cau Buou - Phuc La - Van Khe - Le Trong Tan - National Highway 6 and vice versa.
Vehicles from Vo Van Kiet street, Thang Long bridge to Thang Long Avenue move along the route: Pham Van Dong - Ho Tung Mau - Cau Dien - National Highway 32 - Provincial Road 70 - Thang Long Avenue and vice versa.
Hanoi City Police requests all vehicles participating in traffic to be self-conscious and strictly comply with the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety and the guidance of functional forces.
When encountering priority vehicles emitting priority signals to perform tasks, traffic participants must quickly change direction to the nearest level crossings and intersections according to the instructions of functional forces to give way to the priority vehicle convoy.
Based on the content of the traffic diversion notice, Hanoi City Police requested the Hanoi Department of Construction to direct functional units to adjust the routes of passenger bus routes, limiting operations on routes subject to traffic diversion according to regulations.
Hanoi City Police announces to agencies, units and people to know, proactively choose appropriate travel routes, strictly comply with regulations and coordinate and support the Police force to successfully complete the task of ensuring security, order and traffic safety to serve the Congress.
