New Government directive on Van Ha bridge project worth 220 billion VND

The Government Office has just issued Document No. 1515/VPCP-CN on assigning the competent authority to implement the Van Ha Bridge Construction Investment Project, connecting Van Ha commune (Viet Yen town, Bac Giang province) with Hoa Long ward (Bac Ninh city).

Accordingly, considering the proposal of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province (submission No. 45/TTr-UBND dated February 21, 2025) submitted to the Prime Minister on assigning the People's Committee of Bac Giang province as the competent authority to implement the Van Ha bridge construction investment project, connecting Van Ha commune (Viet Yen town, Bac Giang province) with Hoa Long ward (Bac Ninh city, Bac Ninh province), Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha assigned the Ministry of Planning and Investment to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Transport and relevant agencies, conduct a comprehensive study on the proposal of the People's Committee of Bac Giang province in the above document, advising the Prime Minister.

Research by Lao Dong reporters shows that the Van Ha bridge construction investment project (connecting Bac Ninh - Bac Giang) is 360m long, with a total investment of about 220 billion VND; expected to be completed in 2026.

The completion of the project will create conditions to promote economic, cultural and social exchanges, contributing to natural disaster prevention and rescue between the two provinces of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang.
