The bridge on Ring Road 4 receives enough land, construction will continue through the New Year

Without the 2026 New Year's holiday, hundreds of workers and engineers still maintain the working rhythm and closely follow the construction site of Hong Ha bridge (Component project 3 - construction of the expressway under the public-private partnership method of the Hanoi Ring Road 4 project).

Hong Ha bridge is about 4.377km long, crossing Ta Hong and Huu Hong dykes, starting at Me Linh commune and ending at O Dien commune.

According to the design, the cross-section of Hong Ha bridge is 24.5m wide, designed with 4 lanes for motor vehicles and arranged on each side of a lane for motorbikes and rudimentary vehicles.

The prestressed reinforced concrete bridge includes canals (main span is 135m), Super T approach spans, 18 canals crossing the river (main span is 90m), 3 canals crossing the Huu Hong dike (main span is 90m).

By the end of December 2025, Me Linh and O Dien communes had handed over 100% of the cleared land to the contractor for the construction of Hong Ha bridge.

Mr. Tran Dang Khoa, Construction Engineering (Ring Road 4 Expressway Construction Joint Stock Company) said that Hong Ha bridge is one of 7 bridges across the Red River in Hanoi to start construction in 2025.

Nearly 4 months after the groundbreaking date, the investor is currently simultaneously deploying 15 construction teams, working in 3 shifts and 4 teams on the construction site.

The entire Hong Ha bridge construction site is organizing the construction of foundations and bored piles for the pillar structure. The entire Hong Ha bridge has completed nearly 300 out of a total of 1,000 bored piles. The current output value has reached nearly 300/4,000 billion VND for construction.

"In the general spirit of the city as well as the direct direction of the project enterprise, the contractor mobilized engineers and construction workers to work through the New Year with the spirit of doing quickly, ensuring and on schedule according to the requirements of state agencies" - Mr. Khoa said.

In addition to Hong Ha bridge, Component Project 3 also builds 2 other large bridges, including Me So bridge across the Red River (connecting Hanoi with Hung Yen) and Hoai Thuong bridge across Duong river (in Bac Ninh province).

Up to now, all localities have handed over the entire clean site to the contractor, and the construction work is being urgently deployed.

Construction units strive to open the project before the opening day of the APEC Conference in 2027, in which priority is given to deploying interconnecting intersections to connect parallel routes, specifically the right turn branches of Me Linh intersection, Thang Long Avenue, National Highway 6...

For component project 2 - the construction of parallel roads through Hanoi, Hung Yen and Bac Ninh, the contractor focuses on accelerating in accordance with the direction of the Steering Committee for the implementation of the investment project to build Ring Road 4.

Component project 2.1 (construction of parallel roads in Hanoi) has completed about 35/53km of asphalt concrete. The output to date has reached about 3,575/4,205 billion VND (about 85%), basically completing the entire parallel road in the second quarter of 2026.

For Component Project 2.2 (construction of parallel roads in Hung Yen province), the volume of asphalt concrete pavement is 23/33.65km, the estimated implementation value is about VND 867/1,239 billion, equivalent to 70% of the total construction value.

In Bac Ninh province, component project 2.3 (construction of parallel roads) has basically completed weak soil treatment of 9.37/9.69km, reaching about 97%; the volume of asphalt concrete pavement reached about 4.0/31.8km, the total construction value reached about 1,253/2,307.95 billion VND, equivalent to 50%.

It is expected that the Ring Road 4 parallel road in the Hanoi Capital Region will be completed in 2026.
