Can Tho has a new Chairman of the City Party Committee's Inspection Committee and Director of the Department of Home Affairs

On the afternoon of December 19, the Can Tho City Party Committee held a conference to announce the Decisions of the Secretariat, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and the Chairman of the City People's Committee on personnel work.

At the conference, Mr. Nguyen Thien Nhon - Head of the City Party Committee's Organization Committee announced the decisions.

Accordingly, the Secretariat decided to approve Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of Vi Thanh Ward to join the Inspection Committee of the City Party Committee and hold the position of Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the City Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

The Standing Committee of the City Party Committee decided that Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia would cease to participate in the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and cease to hold the position of Secretary of the Vi Thanh Ward Party Committee, term 2025-2030 and related positions.

Mr. Nguyen Huu Nghia was transferred to the Inspection Committee of the City Party Committee to hold the position of Chairman of the Inspection Committee of the City Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

Also at the conference, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee decided to transfer and assign Ms. Pham Thi Phuong - Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, former Head of the Inspection Committee of the City Party Committee, to join the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the City People's Committee Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

Ms. Pham Thi Phuong was assigned to concurrently hold the position of Deputy Head of the City Party Committee's Organization Committee.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City also decided to accept and appoint Ms. Pham Thi Phuong to the position of Director of the Department of Home Affairs. The term of appointment is 5 years.
