Can Tho has 3 island communes and 33 communes in safe areas recognized
Can Tho - The Chairman of the People's Committee of Can Tho City has just signed a decision to recognize 33 commune-level administrative units as island communes and safe-haven communes in the resistance war against France and the US.
According to the decision, the 3 island communes are recognized as An Thanh, Cu Lao Dung commune and Phong Nam commune.
30 communes and wards were recognized as safe communes during the resistance war against France and the US, including: Vinh Vien commune, Xa Phien commune, Luong Tam commune, Thanh Xuan commune, Hoa Tu commune, Gia Hoa commune, Nhu Gia commune, Ngoc To commune, Truong Khanh commune, Dai Ngai commune, Long Phu commune, Phong Nam commune, An Lac Thon commune, Thoi An Hoi commune, Dai Hai commune, Ho Dac Kien commune, My Tu commune, Long Hung commune, My Phuoc commune, Vinh Loi commune, Lam Tan commune, Thanh Thoi An commune, Lieu Tu commune, An Thanh commune, Cu Lao Dung commune, Vinh Phuoc ward, Khanh Hoa ward, Ngoai Ngoai Nam commune, My Quoi ward, Binh Binh ward.
