Officials are not required to supplement documents and records more than once after receiving them
Khanh Hoa - The locality requires cadres not to ask people to supplement records and documents more than once after receiving the records.
In January 2026, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province issued a plan to synchronously deploy negative prevention measures, strengthen handling, and effectively prevent harassment and inconvenience to people and businesses in the process of handling work in the province.
According to the plan, Khanh Hoa province identified 5 key groups of tasks and solutions and requested departments, branches, sectors, agencies, public service units, state-owned enterprises under the province and the People's Committees at the commune level to develop and issue specific plans for their units before February 1, 2026.
One of the consistent contents of the plan is to increase the responsibility of leaders in leading and directing the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity.
At the same time, build a team of cadres, civil servants and public employees to meet the requirements of tasks in the new period.
Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee also requested innovation in management work associated with promoting digital transformation and administrative reform; increasing publicity and transparency in the operations of agencies and units.
Strengthen propaganda, dissemination and education of laws on anti-corruption, waste and negativity.
Along with that, Khanh Hoa province focuses on promoting the role and responsibility of society in anti-corruption work; strengthening inspection and examination of public duties; building a mechanism to monitor and detect violations early.
Timely prevent, rectify and strictly handle corruption, waste and negativity in functional forces and law enforcement.
The supervisory role of elected bodies, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, press agencies and the People continues to be promoted.
Agencies and units must proactively identify corruption risks for each job position; strengthen inspection, supervision and thoroughly handle acts of harassment and negativity.
Notably, Khanh Hoa province requires reviewing and simplifying administrative procedures, not allowing the situation of requiring people and businesses to supplement records and documents more than once after receiving them.
At the same time, improve the quality of dialogue between the government and people and businesses.
Inspection and examination of public service regimes will be strengthened; periodically transfer work positions; select and assign cadres with sufficient qualities, ethics, and professional capacity to sensitive positions, prone to negative and corruption.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hoa (residing in Nha Trang ward, Khanh Hoa province) said that what people want most is transparent procedures, timely settlement and no additional costs.
If the documents are missing, there must be clear instructions from the beginning, not allowing people to travel many times.
"I strongly support the policy of not requiring additional documents more than once after receiving them, because this is a problem that people encounter a lot" - Mr. Hoa said.
