Ministry of National Defense accelerates the production of military computers, connecting transmission infrastructure

On February 2nd, in Hanoi, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh - Deputy Minister of National Defense - chaired a conference to report on the situation of ensuring technology infrastructure to serve digital transformation for the Military Command (CHQS) at the commune level.

At the conference, Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh praised the agencies and units for actively and proactively coordinating in conducting surveys, grasping the actual situation of infrastructure, application of services and needs of agencies throughout the army; Promptly advising and proposing to the Head of the Ministry of National Defense contents and measures to develop synchronous and modern digital infrastructure, meeting the digital transformation task in the Ministry of National Defense.

Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh emphasized that the Ministry of National Defense identifies the Commune-level Military Command as playing a core role in national defense and security at the grassroots level, as an important link in the Ministry of National Defense's ecosystems, directly implementing the creation, management and digitization of national defense data at the grassroots level, contributing to building a common database in the Ministry of National Defense and promoting the task of developing digital government at the grassroots level.

Therefore, the deployment of technology infrastructure to ensure command, direction, and operation activities and serve digital transformation for commune-level Military Commands is an extremely urgent requirement, which needs to be implemented synchronously and promptly in the coming time.

Senior Lieutenant General Le Huy Vinh requested agencies and units to continue to review and adjust the roadmap for completing the technology infrastructure system in a synchronous, modern, smooth, safe, and secure direction, in accordance with the specific tasks so that commune-level Military Commands can quickly go into stable operation and deploy digital transformation tasks in the Ministry of National Defense.

Thereby, prioritizing investment in equipment to deploy network connection of military data transmission for commune-level Military Commands to send and receive electronic documents in the digital environment; Accelerate the production of crypto products to serve sending and receiving documents on the document management and operation system of the Ministry of National Defense to commune-level units when infrastructure conditions are met.

Accelerate the production progress of military computers; Connect military transmission infrastructure with existing transmission infrastructure to ensure that commune-level Military Commands follow the proposed plans of units; Urgently deploy information technology training for commune-level Military Commands to be exploited immediately.

Agencies and units, according to their functions and tasks, continue to closely coordinate with the 86th Command, the Signal Corps, the Government Cipher Committee, and the Cipher Department (General Staff) in the process of building projects and tasks related to infrastructure development, information technology application, and digital transformation at units, and report to competent authorities for consideration and decision.
