Appointing Mr. Duong Trung Y as Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine

This afternoon (December 31), Communist Magazine held a conference to announce the Politburo's decision on personnel work. Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu chaired the conference.

Accordingly, the Politburo decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Duong Trung Y - Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics - to hold the position of Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine.

Mr. Duong Trung Y was also appointed to join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Party Committee of the Communist Magazine Agency for the 2025-2030 term.

Previously, Mr. Hoang Trung Dung, Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine, was appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee.

Speaking at the assignment, Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tucho said that Mr. Duong Trung Y is a well-trained, mature cadre who has held many positions at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

Mr. Duong Trung Y is considered a cadre with political courage, with a foundation in political theory and scientific thinking, and has made many important contributions to the research of political theory and the training and fostering of cadres.

In his working positions, he always strives to fulfill assigned tasks, contributing significantly to the overall achievements and results of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.

The Standing Secretariat requested the new Editor-in-Chief of Communist Magazine to continue to promote a sense of responsibility, maintain political courage, constantly cultivate and practice, unite with the magazine's leadership, focus on leadership and direction to successfully carry out and excellently complete all subsequent tasks.

Speaking at the assignment, Editor-in-Chief of the Communist Magazine Duong Trung Y expressed his deep gratitude to the Politburo, the Secretariat, the leaders of the Party and State for their attention, trust and assign him the responsibility of Editor-in-Chief of a major press agency and the leading political theoretical forum of the Party.

He shared that becoming the head of a major magazine agency of the Party is an honor and pride, but also a heavy political responsibility before the Party, the State and the people.

Mr. Duong Trung Y shared about taking on the task in the context of the Party implementing strategic decisions to bring the country into a new era of development, increasingly high requirements for innovation in theoretical thinking, firmly protecting the Party's ideological foundation in the face of new challenges.

He deeply expressed that this is not only a glorious tradition inheritance but also a responsibility to continue to innovate, enhancing the role, reputation and position of the magazine in the new context.

Mr. Duong Trung Y promised to absolutely comply with the leadership and direction of the Politburo, the Secretariat, the General Secretary and the Standing Committee of the Secretariat, promoting the tradition of solidarity, intelligence, and political mettle of all leaders, staff, and editors of the Magazine.

Mr. Duong Trung Y was born in 1971; hometown Bac Ninh province. He worked for many years at the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics.
