Bac Ninh recognizes 7 typical communes, wards and towns in 2024

Accordingly, 7 collectives achieved the title of "Outstanding commune, ward, and town" in 2024 of Bac Ninh province, including: Dong Phong commune, Yen Phong district; Phu Hoa commune, Luong Tai district; Quynh Phu commune, Gia Binh district; Ho ward, Thuan Thanh town; Khuc Xuyen ward, Bac Ninh city; Phu Khe ward, Tu Son city; Lim town, Tien Du district.

Each collective that achieves the title of "Outstanding commune, ward, and town" in 2024 is accompanied by a bonus of VND 4,680,000.

Currently, Bac Ninh province has 8 district-level administrative units, including 4 districts, 2 towns and 2 cities; 121 commune-level administrative units, including 66 communes, 50 wards and 5 towns.

Article 29 of the Law on Emulation and Commendation 2022 (effective from January 1, 2024) stipulates the titles of typical communes, wards and towns.

Accordingly, the title of typical commune, ward and town is awarded annually to communes, wards and towns leading the emulation movement at the district level and meeting the following standards:

a) Well perform the assigned socio-economic tasks, national defense, security, social order and safety;

b) Stable economic life and gradual development;

c) Cultural life, healthy spirit, and abundance;

d) Safe, friendly environment, clean and beautiful landscape;

d) Comply with the Party's guidelines, policies and laws of the State.
