139 individuals and groups of Heroes attended the National Patriotic Emulation Congress

On the morning of December 24, speaking at a press conference to announce the organization of the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Trinh Thi Thuy said that with the theme "Emulation for innovation, creativity, accelerating breakthroughs to bring the country into an era of strong, civilized and prosperous development", the congress clearly demonstrated the high political determination of the Party and State in continuing to promote the tradition of patriotic emulation; considering emulation an important solution to mobilize the combined strength of the entire political system, business community and the entire people in the cause of building and developing the country.

This is also an opportunity to honor and commend outstanding collectives and individuals; heroes, emulation fighters, and advanced models - those who represent the intelligence, bravery, dedication, and creativity of the Vietnamese people in the new era.

Deputy Head of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee Do Thuy Phuong informed that the total number of delegates attending the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress was 2,223, including 198 invited delegates and 2,025 official delegates; established into 105 Delegations.

Among the 2,025 official delegates, there are delegates who are individual heroes, representatives of collectives of Heroes, Emulation Fighters nationwide and advanced models who have been awarded and honored since the 10th National Patriotic Emulation Congress.

Of the 2,025 official delegates, 105 delegates are Chairmen of the Emulation and Reward Council of ministries, departments, branches, central organizations, provinces and centrally run cities.

The individual and collective representatives of the "Heroes of the People's Armed Forces" and "Heroes of Labor" awarded from 2021 to present are 139 delegates (including 21 individuals), accounting for 6.87%.

The National Emulation Fighter delegates who have been awarded the title since 2021 are 86 delegates, accounting for 4.24%.

36 delegates representing outstanding individuals in "Studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style", accounting for 1.78%. 198 delegates are ethnic minorities, accounting for 9.8%.

41 delegates are overseas Vietnamese, foreigners with meritorious services, contributing to Vietnam, accounting for 2%.

138 outstanding delegates representing the professions and fields: Doctors, Teachers, Artists, Artists, Scientists, Writers, individuals were awarded the Ho Chi Minh Prize, State Prize; Journalists; Young Talents; Veterans; Veterans of the Youth Volunteer; People with meritorious services to the revolution, accounting for 6.81%.

1,326 typical advanced delegates are outstanding in patriotic emulation movements, mainly those who are directly involved in production in the fields of economy, culture, society, national defense, security of ministries, departments, branches, central organizations, provinces and cities, accounting for 65.5%.

The oldest delegate is Ms. Nguyen Thi Binh (98 years old) - Hero of Labor, former Vice President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. 5 youngest delegates (11 years old).
