306 Trade Union members admitted to Can Tho City

On September 5, the Can Tho City Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) coordinated with Cat Tuong Construction and Building Materials Joint Stock Company to organize a ceremony to announce the decision to establish a grassroots Trade Union and launch the Trade Union Executive Committee.

At the ceremony, the Can Tho City Labor Federation announced Decisions on recognizing grassroots trade unions (CĐCS) of Cat Tuong Construction and Building Materials Joint Stock Company; recognizing Trade Union members; appointing the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Chairman, Vice Chairman; Inspection Committee, Chairman of the Inspection Committee of CĐCS.

Accordingly, the grassroots trade union of Cat Tuong Construction and Building Materials Joint Stock Company has 306 union members. The Executive Committee includes 9 members, Mr. Duong Thai Hung is the Chairman of the grassroots trade union.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Member of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, City Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, Chairman of the City Labor Federation - emphasized that for grassroots trade unions to develop, the important thing is not only to increase in quantity but also to improve the quality of operation, so that trade unions truly become a support, a place of trust for workers.

The Chairman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation requested the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union in the coming time to continue to pay attention to representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; proactively grasp the thoughts and feelings of union members and workers at the unit and promptly resolve arising issues.

The Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union needs to accompany the company's leaders, coordinate to build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations at the enterprise. At the same time, mobilize union members to participate in emulation movements, improve productivity, quality and work efficiency, associated with ensuring safety for workers. The City Labor Federation is committed to always accompanying, sharing and supporting the grassroots trade union.

On this occasion, the City Labor Federation also presented 10 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, each worth 300,000 VND.
