Cao Bang - Poor households in Kim Dong commune have just received funding to support the construction of Great Solidarity houses.

On June 4, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Bang province organized the handover of funds to support the construction of Great Solidarity houses for 3 poor households in particularly difficult housing circumstances in Kim Dong commune.

The households supported in this phase include Ms. Long Thi Yen and Mr. Vuong Van Thin (Xuan Thang hamlet), Mr. Vuong Hong Dinh (Ban Soc hamlet). Each household is supported with 60 million VND from the province's "For the Poor" Fund.

The funding is sponsored by Vietnam Gas Corporation (PV GAS).

The houses are built to ensure the "3 solid" criteria, have appropriate usable areas, meet minimum living needs, and contribute to helping households stabilize their lives and gradually rise out of poverty.

At the program, leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee presented support funds and encouraged families to continue to strive to overcome difficulties, actively work in production, develop the economy and participate in emulation movements in the locality.

Implementing the program to support the removal of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households, from a budget of 5 billion VND supported by PV GAS, the province has now implemented support for building 84 new houses.

Newly built Great Solidarity houses are concentrated in Minh Khai, Duc Long, Kim Dong, Thach An, Dong Khe, Canh Tan, Ha Lang, Vinh Quy, Quang Long and Ly Quoc communes, with a support level of 60 million VND/unit.

In phase I, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Cao Bang province allocated more than 3.5 billion VND to support eligible households.

The program implementation is carried out publicly, transparently, and to the right beneficiaries, contributing to improving the effectiveness of social security work in the area.
