Cleaning Ba Dong beach from practical actions of the community

On June 6, Truong Long Hoa Ward People's Committee coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward to organize a launching ceremony to respond to World Environment Day and the emulation movement "All people join hands to protect the environment, for a green - clean - beautiful Vietnam" at Ba Dong beach, parking area on the coastal corridor of Khoan Tieu hamlet.

Attending the program were leaders of the Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, along with representatives of armed forces, schools, mass organizations, officials, union members, association members and people in the area. The activity aims to raise community awareness, mobilize the participation of the entire political system and people in environmental protection work.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of Truong Long Hoa Ward People's Committee - emphasized that environmental protection is an important task for sustainable development. In recent years, the locality has maintained many self-management models, bright - green - clean - beautiful roads and landscape embellishment activities that bring positive effects.

However, according to Mr. Hai, the situation of littering in the wrong places, using disposable plastic products and local pollution still occurs in some areas. Therefore, the locality calls on officials, party members, union members, association members and people to raise awareness, implement waste sorting at source, limit plastic waste, and actively participate in environmental sanitation activities.

Leaders of the Ward People's Committee also committed to continuing to strengthen state management of the environment, promote propaganda, inspection, and supervision of compliance with regulations on environmental protection; and at the same time mobilize resources to build urban landscapes and improve the quality of life of people in the area.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, hundreds of officials, union members, association members, armed forces soldiers and people simultaneously launched a campaign to clean up Ba Dong beach in the Khoan Thieu hamlet area.

Forces are collecting waste, cleaning up the coastal environment, contributing to spreading the message "All people join hands to protect the environment, for a green - clean - beautiful Vietnam" with specific and practical actions.
