On October 11, the Can Tho City Labor Federation (CLF) said that, implementing the Official Dispatch of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on proactively deploying support for union members and workers to overcome the consequences of the storm; Responding to the appeal of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) on mobilizing support for people to overcome the damage caused by storm No. 10 and the appeal of the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation has called on the affiliated grassroots unions to mobilize support and assistance.
Accordingly, mobilize civil servants, public employees, union members and workers to uphold the spirit of solidarity "mutual love", actively participate in supporting, sharing, and providing material and spiritual support to people facing difficulties due to the impact of storm No. 10 (Bualoi).
With the spirit of "eating with food and clothes", people with property contribute property, people with meritorious services contribute work, those with less contribute little, those with more contribute a lot. Agencies, units, organizations, and individual businesses inside and outside the city respond to support people in disadvantaged provinces in a voluntary spirit, depending on their ability to contribute and their kindness.
Responding to the call, many affiliated grassroots unions transferred donations through the account of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City.
In particular, each cadre and civil servant of the Can Tho City Labor Federation voluntarily donated 1 day's salary to share the difficulties of people affected by storms and floods, with an amount of nearly 21.5 million VND. At the same time, actively support the reception and arrangement of goods and necessities donated by people.
