Propagating social insurance to union members and workers in Long Duc Industrial Park
Tra Vinh - More than 150 union officials, union members, and workers working at enterprises in Long Duc Industrial Park were informed about social insurance.
On May 11, the Tra Vinh Provincial Federation of Labor coordinated with the Provincial Social Insurance to organize a conference to disseminate policies and laws on social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance among cadres, union members, and workers at Sofa Hoa Sen Garment Joint Stock Company (Long Duc Industrial Park, Tra Vinh City) with the participation of more than 150 cadres, union members, and workers.
At the conference, delegates heard that the provincial Social Insurance has implemented new points of the 2024 Social Insurance Law related to subjects participating in social insurance and health insurance contributions, methods, payment period, ... to supplement regulations on late payment, evasion of social insurance and health insurance contributions and handling measures.
New points related to social insurance regimes include sickness, maternity, retirement, one-time social insurance, maternity for voluntary social insurance participants, monthly allowances for employees who are not eligible for pension and are not old enough to receive social pension allowance...
New points of the Social Insurance Law 2024 contribute to building a multi-layered and flexible social insurance system; expanding the scope of social insurance participants; adding benefits to participants; encouraging employees to reserve their contribution period to receive pensions instead of receiving one-time social insurance...
Through the conference, it has helped workers improve their knowledge and better understand social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance policies; contributing to bringing policies into practical life.
According to the plan of the Tra Vinh Provincial Federation of Labor, during the Workers' Month 2025, the next propaganda sessions on social insurance laws will be held at My Phong Leather Shoes Company Limited and school trade unions.
