Visiting, giving gifts and giving Union Shelters to union members in Dong Thap

The Dong Thap Provincial Federation of Labor (DOLF) organized a delegation to visit and provide support to 3 union members in difficult circumstances and suffering from serious illnesses in the province on March 22, on the occasion of Labor Safety and Hygiene Month and Workers' Month 2025.

The delegation visited and shared the difficulties with Ms. Tran Thi Mong Kieu and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Sang, union members of Thai Duong Garment bags and carrying company (Hong Ngu City).

Ms. Tran Thi Mong Kieu has congenital hemorrhage and is being treated for a long time, so her family cannot afford to cover living expenses. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Sang has a joint disease and is currently at a resort for treatment. Each case was supported by the Provincial Federation of Labor with 1 million VND.

The delegation also visited and shared the difficulties with Ms. Huynh Thi Trang, a union member of the Trade Union of Ty Thac Company Limited (Thap Muoi District) who is in especially difficult circumstances and has a serious illness and has to take a long leave for treatment. Currently, the cost of treatment is quite high, so Ms. Trang's family is facing many difficulties. In order to share and encourage Ms. Trang to overcome difficulties, in addition to the support of a gift of 1 million VND from the Provincial Federation of Labor, the Trade Union of Ty Thac Company Limited also mobilized union members and workers to join hands to support with more than 14 million VND.

At each place visited, the delegation visited, encouraged, shared difficulties, strived to stabilize life, actively worked, produced, and contributed to the development of enterprises. It is known that on the occasion of Labor Safety and Hygiene Month and Workers' Month 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor organized a delegation to visit and give gifts directly to 168 union members in especially difficult circumstances and those who had work-related accidents in the province.

On the same day, the leader of the provincial Labor Confederation, the representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province attended the handover ceremony of "Trade Union Shelter" to Ms. Tran Thuy Van - Union member of the Red Cross Union and the masses of the Labor Federation of Tan Hong District.

The house supporting Ms. Tran Thuy Van, residing in Sa Rai town, Tan Hong district, was built on an area of 70 square meters in the form of a level 4 house, with a total construction cost of 180 million VND, of which the Dong Thap Trade Union Golden Heart Social Charity Fund supported 60 million VND, the rest was contributed by the family.

This is a very meaningful and practical activity, demonstrating the spirit of solidarity, support and mutual assistance of the Trade Union organization, among union members, contributing to the implementation of the "Temporary Christmas" Program in Dong Thap province.
