Quang Nam launches Workers' Month 2025, targeting workers

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Phan Xuan Quang - Chairman of the Quang Nam Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) - emphasized that this year's Workers' Month has the theme "Vietnamese Workers Pioneer in entering a new era".

At the same time, the Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene was launched with the theme "Strengthening assessment, identification of risks and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace".

Responding activities will be widely deployed across the province from May 1 to May 31, aiming at the practical goal of caring for the material and spiritual life of workers, while raising awareness of labor safety in the business community.

During Workers' Month, trade unions at all levels need to proactively implement a variety of activities towards workers. In addition to protecting legitimate rights and interests, it is necessary to promote the development of union members and build a strong team of workers to meet the requirements in the new period" - Mr. Quang emphasized.

At the launching ceremony, Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Dung - Head of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee - highly appreciated the effectiveness of the programs in recent years. According to Ms. Dung, Workers' Month and Month of Action on occupational safety and hygiene have left many positive impressions, demonstrating the concern of the trade union organization in accompanying workers.

Union levels need to step up propaganda and education of the Party and State's policies to workers. At the same time, innovate the form of organizing emulation movements, encourage workers and laborers to promote their leading and pioneering role in socio-economic development, Ms. Dung emphasized.

On this occasion, the Quang Nam Provincial Federation of Labor presented 500 support packages, each worth 1 million VND to workers in difficult circumstances, demonstrating the spirit of sharing and accompanying workers to overcome challenges.

The Provincial Federation of Labor also summarized and awarded Certificates of Merit of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to 3 groups and 1 individual; Certificates of Merit of the Provincial Federation of Labor to 4 groups and 2 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Green - Clean - Beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and hygiene" in 2024.

In addition, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded Certificates of Merit to 3 collectives and 2 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Culture, Sports" in 2024.
