Starting construction of 5 Trade Union Shelters for union members in difficult circumstances in Can Tho

On May 6, the Thoi Lai District Labor Federation (LDLD) held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a Trade Union Shelter for 5 union members with difficult housing circumstances in the district.

This is an activity of profound humanitarian significance, demonstrating the spirit of mutual love, mutual assistance, helping each other and the concern of trade unions at all levels for the lives of cadres, workers, civil servants and laborers. Thereby, helping union members and workers stabilize their lives, work with peace of mind and complete assigned tasks well.

The union members with shelters started construction in turn are Tran Thi Thanh Ngoi (Truong Thang Kindergarten Union), Nguyen Thi Bach (Truong Thang Primary School Union), Vo Kim Thuy (Dong Thuan Commune Union), Huynh Van Thuy (Thoi Lai Town Union) and Bui Van Thai (Truong Thanh 1 Secondary School Union).

It is known that these union members all have difficult housing circumstances, cannot afford to repair, and have been promptly supported by the City Labor Federation, District Labor Federation and the Union of the unit to implement the construction of the Union Shelter. Accordingly, the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund Branch in Can Tho supports each union member with 50 million VND to build a shelter. It is expected that the shelters will have an area of 40 - 70 m2 and will be completed and put into use before June 30 this year.

At the ceremony, the City Labor Federation, District Labor Federation, and Trade Unions of the units shared their joy and hoped that the union members would strive to work, complete the assigned targets, and enthusiastically participate in activities launched by the Trade Union organization.
