Duy Xuyen District launches Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health in 2025

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Tran Phuoc Phuong - Chairman of the Duy Xuyen District Labor Federation, Quang Nam Province - emphasized that Workers' Month - 2025 has the theme "Vietnamese Workers' Level: Pioneering to enter a new era".

Along with that, the 2025 Labor Safety and Hygiene Action Month was implemented with the theme "Strengthening assessment, identification of risks and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace".

According to Mr. Phuong, the state management of occupational safety and hygiene has gradually become more disciplined, the awareness of law compliance of employers and employees in implementing regulations on occupational safety and hygiene has been improved; enterprises have gradually paid attention to investing in improving working conditions and environment, implementing legal regimes and policies on occupational safety and hygiene (OSH), and taking care of workers' health.

"Coordinate the implementation of occupational safety and hygiene work between all levels and sectors closely and effectively. The capacity of the network for occupational safety and hygiene has been significantly improved. In general, the situation of occupational accidents has decreased significantly (only minor accidents, no serious or fatal accidents) thereby making workers feel secure in their work, improving productivity and product quality for businesses, which has significantly contributed to the socio-economic development of the district" - Mr. Phuong said.

At the ceremony, the District Labor Federation presented subsidies to 205 union members, workers, and laborers in difficult circumstances, those who have had work accidents, occupational diseases, and serious illnesses (of which, the Provincial Labor Federation presented 47 gifts each worth 1 million VND; the District Labor Federation presented 157 gifts each worth 700,000 VND and supported 1 Trade Union Shelter worth 40 million VND; the total support cost for the program was over 200 million VND).
