More than 400 workers in Lam Dong participate in voluntary blood donation
Lam Dong The Provincial Labor Federation organized the voluntary Blood Donation Festival, which has had more than 400 union members and workers register to participate.
On May 7, Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation organized a "voluntary Blood Donation Day" among workers, civil servants, and laborers.
The event was organized by this unit in coordination with the Lam Dong Provincial Red Cross Society in Duc Trong district.
Vice President of Lam Dong Provincial Labor Federation - Ms. Pham Thi Le Dung said that this is an annual activity of the unit. This activity aims to provide blood sources to serve the treatment of patients at medical facilities in the province.
"Every year, we coordinate to organize 2 to 3 voluntary blood donations. Each period, hundreds of union members and workers have responded and participated, Ms. Pham Thi Le Dung informed.
Mr. Luu Van Loi - Chairman of Duc Trong District Labor Federation said that the unit was assigned to mobilize union members and workers to participate in this blood donation. This unit has promptly informed grassroots unions to propagate and disseminate to union members and workers.
This time, more than 400 union members and workers have registered to participate in the voluntary Blood Donation Festival. The organizing committee received 306 units of blood and handed it over to Lam Dong General Hospital, exceeding the set target," Mr. Luu Van Loi shared.
Participating in this blood donation, Ms. Hoang Thi Thien - Hoa Mi Kindergarten, Duc Trong district excitedly said that many union members in this unit have registered to participate. According to Ms. Thien, the Program has spread the spirit of solidarity, humanity, and action for the community.
We are very proud to donate our precious drops of blood to save the patient. This is also a noble gesture, so that union members and workers can join hands to build an increasingly humane society, said Ms. Hoang Thi Thien.
