More than 200 athletes compete at the sports festival to celebrate Workers' Month
Can Tho - With more than 200 athletes competing, the sports festival brought exciting competitions, creating a vibrant atmosphere before Workers' Month 2025.
On April 21, the Co Do District Labor Federation (LDLD) said that the unit had just organized a Sports Festival for cadres, workers and civil servants in 2025.
The sports festival attracted the participation of more than 200 athletes from grassroots trade unions under the Red Co District Labor Federation and guest units in the district.
The sports festival is a practical activity to achieve achievements to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), 139 years of International Labor Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2025), 135 years of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1990 - May 19, 2025) and respond to Workers' Month 2025.
This is also an opportunity to promote the movement of physical exercise among the masses, union officials, union members, workers, civil servants and laborers, to improve health following the example of great Uncle Ho. At the same time, it creates conditions for athletes and grassroots trade unions to exchange and learn from each other's experiences.
Through the competition of mini men's football, men's and women's volleyball, men's doubles badminton and men's and women's doubles badminton, the sports festival brought fierce and exciting competitions.
As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded first, second and third prizes for each sport and the overall prize for the participating teams.
