Maintaining local education and health service units after the reorganization
Regulations for public service units when implementing the organization of local government at 2 levels according to Decision 759/QD-TTg dated April 14, 2025.
The Prime Minister issued Decision 759/QD-TTg dated April 14, 2025 approving the Project to rearrange and reorganize administrative units at all levels and build a model of organizing local government at both levels.
Regulations on public service units according to Sub-section 1, Section V of the Project issued with Decision 759/QD-TTg on the plan to reorganize administrative units at all levels are as follows:
For public service units
- Maintain educational and health service units and transfer them to the commune-level authorities to manage secondary schools, primary schools, kindergartens, and health stations of the new commune-level units to ensure health care for people right at the grassroots level and ensure enough schools and classes for students in the commune-level area to study.
- For other public service units, the Government directs and guides the implementation of streamlining units, ensuring the provision of many basic and essential public services in commune, inter-commune and ward-level administrative units.
Thus, according to Decision 759/QD-TTg dated April 14, 2025, educational and health service units are allowed to remain the same and be transferred to the commune-level government to manage secondary schools, primary schools, kindergartens, and health stations of the new commune-level unit to ensure health care for people right at the grassroots level and ensure enough schools and classes for students in the commune-level area.
For other public service units, the Government directs and guides the implementation of streamlining units, ensuring the provision of many basic and essential public services in commune, inter-commune and ward-level administrative units.
