Nearly 550 million VND given to workers in Thai Binh
Thai Binh - Nearly 550 million VND is the amount of money that trade union organizations in the province gave to union members and workers on May 6.
On May 6, the Trade Union of Economic Zones and Industrial Parks (ECZs&IPs) of Thai Binh province launched Workers' Month - Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in 2025; presented gifts of gratitude in May and presented the decision to establish grassroots trade unions (CDCS).
On this occasion, the Thai Binh Economic Zone and Industrial Park Trade Union presented 300 May gratitude gifts to workers who have had work accidents, occupational diseases and union members who have overcome difficulties with a total amount of 240 million VND.
In addition, the decision to establish 5 new grassroots unions was presented; and funding was awarded to support the construction of warm houses for 4 union members with difficult housing circumstances with an amount of 200 million VND.
With the theme of Workers' Month 2025 being "Vietnamese workers pioneering in entering a new era" and "Strengthening assessment, identification of risks and risks and proactively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace", the Trade Union of Thai Binh Economic Zone and Industrial Park has directed grassroots trade unions to do a good job of taking care of the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers.
Proactively review the contents and validity of the collective labor agreement of your unit to negotiate with employers to adjust and increase some welfare provisions to improve the basic and practical benefits for union members and employees.
Proactively advise, propose and coordinate with the Labor Union to organize activities to improve the spiritual life and health care for employees.
Launch a patriotic emulation movement among union members, workers and civil servants, focusing on the emulation movement "Good workers, creative workers", the movement "Green - Clean - Beautiful - occupational safety and hygiene", "Workers for businesses, businesses for workers".
Focus on honoring and rewarding outstanding union members and workers in patriotic emulation movements to encourage and motivate union members and workers to enthusiastically compete in creative and dedicated labor.
Organizing visits and giving gifts to union members and employees in extremely difficult circumstances, occupational accidents and occupational diseases. Proactively advise and coordinate with the employer to organize training, guide safe working skills, labor accidents prevention skills, occupational diseases and organize periodic health examination for workers. Coordinate with employers to organize inspection and supervision of OSH processes in the enterprise.
On the same day, the Hung Ha District Labor Federation (LDLD) also launched Workers' Month - Month of Action on occupational safety and health in 2025.
At the ceremony, Hung Ha District Labor Federation awarded 32 employees, including 7 employees who are Party members with outstanding achievements in production and construction of a strong union organization; 7 employees who are exemplary in studying and working following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh; 18 employees who are outstanding in the movement "Good workers, creative workers"; awarded 7 enterprise trade unions with the collective "Green - Clean - Beautiful - Ensuring occupational safety and hygiene"; presented 185 gifts to union members in difficult circumstances and workers who have had work accidents under 12 trade unions with a total amount of over 100 million VND.
