Dien Bien launches Workers' and Labor Safety and Hygiene Month

Attending the ceremony were: Ms. Giang Thi Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Mr. Vu A Bang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Tan Minh Long - Chairman of the provincial Labor Federation, Mr. Nguyen Tien Dat - Director of the Department of Home Affairs; representatives of provincial departments, agencies, socio -political organizations; with 400 cadres, civil servants, officials, workers, soldiers of the armed forces, students, students and people in the area.

At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of Vu A Bang Provincial People's Committee launched the Month of Action on OSH and the working month in 2025 with the theme "Strengthening the evaluation, identification of risks, risks and actively implementing measures to ensure occupational safety and hygiene at the workplace", "Vietnamese workers pioneered into the digital era".

In 2024, there were 10 labor accidents in the province, killing 10 people and seriously injuring 5 people; 20 fires killed 1 person, causing estimated property damage of about 4.27 billion VND, 85.8 hectares of forest and vegetation.

On this occasion, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 1 individual; The provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives; Employment Department - Ministry of Home Affairs awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 3 individuals; Department of Home Affairs awarded certificates of merit to 2 collectives and 4 individuals with achievements with achievements in OSH in 2024.

The Provincial Federation of Labor presented 17 gifts to union members and workers who had work-related accidents and occupational diseases, each worth VND500,000 (of which 6 were presented at the ceremony).

Right after the launching ceremony, many cadres, workers, civil servants and laborers took to the streets to cheer on some main roads of Dien Bien Phu City.
