Appointment for workers to accompany in caring for and protecting female workers
On the afternoon of March 15, the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor organized a meeting program for workers in the first quarter of 2025 with the theme "Trade unions accompany to care for and protect female workers".
Dong Nai province currently has 1.3 million workers, of which more than 60% are illegal. Regarding the labor structure in Dong Nai province, female workers also account for nearly 60% of the workforce.
The first quarter 2025 worker appointment program took place at Pou Chen Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Hoa An ward, Bien Hoa city) with the participation of about 200 female workers.
At the program, the guests were Ms. Tran Thu Phuong - Deputy Head of the Women's Propaganda Department - Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nhu Y - President of the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor, representative of the Dong Nai Provincial Social Insurance and representative of the Dong Nai Provincial Bar Association, who answered questions from female workers related to social insurance policies, policies for female workers and their children, psychology, law, etc.
At the program, Ms. Hong Duyen, a female worker at Pouchen Vietnam Co., Ltd., asked about the issue of how social insurance debts of enterprises affect the rights of female workers, such as maternity, illness, retirement, etc. What mechanisms does the social insurance agency have to handle insurance debts?
Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh - representative of Dong Nai Province Social Insurance - said that for the late payment, evasion of payment, and social insurance debt of enterprises, the social insurance agency recommended administrative sanctions, preparing documents to transfer to the police agency for investigation to handle crimes, file lawsuits in court, etc., ensuring the rights of employees.

Currently, the whole province has 19/19 grassroots trade unions and grassroots trade unions under the Provincial Federation of Labor establishing mass women's committees to take better care of the lives of female workers.
