Can Tho organizes a workers' market

According to the Trade Union of Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones, Workers' Month is an opportunity for cadres, union members, workers and civil servants to review the historical tradition of Commemorating 139 years of International Labor Day (1.5).

The Chairman of the Trade Union of Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones also called on all levels of the Trade Union to continue promoting emulation movements "Good workers, Creative workers", encouraging workers to promote technical innovation initiatives and improve labor productivity.

On the business side, Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Kieu suggested strictly complying with legal regulations on labor, occupational safety and hygiene and fire prevention, creating a safe working environment and ensuring the rights of workers.

On this occasion, the Trade Union of Can Tho Export Processing and Industrial Zones presented 200 gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, each worth 1 million VND in cash. At the same time, 20 scholarships were awarded to children of workers who overcame difficulties and studied well.

Ms. Phan Hoang Phuong - a worker at MeKo Garment Joint Stock Company - said that she was very happy and excited to receive attention and encouragement from the Trade Union at all levels during Workers' Month, especially for workers in difficult circumstances.
